Best if cooking is started the day before serving. Boston butt is the easiest to make on a small scale. Use a shoulder or a whole shoulder (which is a shoulder plus the Boston butt) for larger crowds. The sauce skimmed off the top is very, very hot and can also be used to make terribly hot chicken wings.

The pork shoulder roast, sometimes labeled as Boston butt, is a rich and flavorful cut that becomes very tender as it cooks. This pulled pork is slow cooked and then simmered on the stove with salsa and tomatoes. Serve with warm tortillas or hard taco shells.

These lamb kebabs have 6 different kinds of spices; the first time I smelled them I knew immediately that I had to find the recipe. The most affordable way to purchase the spices is in bulk at either a health food store or an Asian or Middle-Eastern market. They are very good!

Kentucky Burgoo

Submitted by: GingerThorton
Inventive Southern cooks created this thick stew using whatever meats--pork, veal, beef, lamb, poultry, and even rabbit or squirrels--and fresh vegetables they had on hand. Typically made to serve a crowd, Burgoo is now firmly identified with Kentucky's regional cuisine.

This has ground turkey, salsa, corn, great Northern beans and jalapeno pepper Cheddar cheese. I requested this recipe from my co-worker after she brought it into one of our many potlucks. It is very tasty and a little spicy; if you don't like it spicy, cut the amount of cheese in half - it will still have a little kick! This recipe is really easy, and even the pickiest eaters will love it.
