About me:
I'm the youngest out of the bunch and had my share of helping at dinner time. So now that I'm all grown up and experimented more than enough, I have come to terms that I enjoy most of my time in the kitchen cooking & baking. There are 3 generations of bakers in my family and it rubbed off on me too so when I start baking, look out cause I don't stop just at 2 desserts. Mind you, my husband and family like it. I told my husband that I need a bigger kitchen (hehehe).

Eggplant Burgers

Reviewed on Sep. 4, 2008 by sweets86
The microwaving made it a bit soggy, so next time I won't do that. Tasted pretty good for my first time cooking with eggplant. Had it with tomatoes and ketchup and a teensy bit of mayo. When I have the leftovers, I'll put it in a pita with more veggies.

Rum Truffles

Reviewed on Aug. 31, 2008 by MARIAM
these are really good. Even though real truffles are only made with cream chocolate and a flavoring, whithout cake, they tasted pretty nice. I used orange extract instead of rum. They actually tasted very much like the no alcohol rum balls I am used to having! They are a great way to use up chocolate cake that turned dry. I had made chocolate cupcakes that came out dry and stuck to the pan, so there was no way I could use them as cupcakes. This recipe was perfect for using all the crumbled cupcakes! I am so glad I found this recipe instead of wasting all those not so good cupcakes (even though I used the rest in a yummy trifle ;) ). I did not give them five star only because they did not really taste like truffles, and second, they were a bit too soft for my taste. Still a great recipe though!

Chewy Brownies

Reviewed on Aug. 29, 2008 by MARIAM
really good brownies. Often, it is hard to get the perfect consistency, and these brownies have it. Perfect and chewy on the inside, and chewy and crispy on the outside (my 9 yr old son's exact words!). Chocolatey? Not much, but with the addition of a handful of chocolate chips in the batter, they were perfectly chocolatey. So easy to make, everyone who tried them said they were really good. Thanks for a great recipe!
